Sodira is a national company with fifteen quarries and gravel pits, and is one of the main aggregate producers in Spain.

Our activity focuses on the extraction and subsequent processing of stone for its commercialisation in the construction (concrete, mortar and asphalt), animal feed, ceramics, ecological agriculture and gardening sectors, mainly.

Despite our recent creation, at Sodira we bring together more than 70 years of experience and mining tradition in our staff and operations. Founded in 2018, Sodira brings together a long chain of knowledge and good mining practices dating back to the 1950s in some of our quarries.

Because of this dependence on this raw material, and because there is no other way to obtain it than through extraction in quarries and gravel pits, at Sodira we are stepping up our actions to ensure that these extractions are as environmentally friendly as possible.

And we demonstrate this, among other actions, with our adherence to the Sustainable Development Goals set out in the 2030 Agenda by the United Nations, and furthermore, by going one step further and implementing a plan to align our business strategy and the development of our activities with the action measures derived from these SDGs.

At Sodira, we are aware that the raw material we work with is a strategic national resource, not only because aggregate is the natural resource most consumed by mankind after water, but also because it is a vital asset for the growth and development of our country.
